Carolina was born and raised in the exciting bustle of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in hospitality there before setting off to study at Sorbonne University in Paris for a year and becoming a citizen of the world. Her passion for providing guests with incredible experiences led to positions in renowned five-star hotels across eight countries ― from the Four Seasons Hotel Maldives to The George V in Paris.

Eager to take on new challenges, she moved from the hospitality world to a successful real estate development company. There, working on some of the most luxurious new developments in Washington, DC, she learned to delicately balance décor so it feels original and chic while still being comfortable and accessible.  

Carolina founded Belong Here DC to combine her decorating expertise with her skill in creating amazing experiences for guests. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge and making her clients’ homes shine.
